The Board of Directors recommends attorney Rune Aagaard, who is a partner in Mazanti-Andersen, to join the Board of Directors of the asset manager European Maritime Finance A\/S. Rune Aagaard has considerable experience from the shipping and transport sector, including legal matters within purchase and sale, chartering and financing of ships, shipbuilding and shipbuilding contracts, as well as financing and corporate law. Rune Aagaard will step in when the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has completed a fit and proper assessment. It is the Board of Directors’ expectation that attorney Rune Aagaard can make a positive contribution to the continued development of European Maritime Finance A\/S.<\/p>

At the same time, attorney Niels Bang resigns from the Board of Directors. The background for this change is that European Maritime Finance A\/S has chosen the law firm Gorrissen Federspiel, where Niels Bang is partner and chairman of the board, as external legal advisor to conduct a general review and compliance assessment of the company’s policies and business procedures in relation to applicable legislation, as well as to make proposals to strengthen these policies and business procedures in the future. Niels Bang will be in charge of this work. In view of the nature of the assignment, Attorney Niels Bang is thus resigning in order to avoid any doubt about the independence of the legal advice.<\/p>
