Det skyldes bl.a. meddelelser om ny straftold, sanktioner mod tankskibe, der transporterer iransk og russisk r\u00e5olie samt generelle geopolitiske forstyrrelser. Alle de faktorer har bidraget til, at raterne p\u00e5 r\u00e5olietankmarkedet \u2013 ikke mindst VLCC- og Suezmax-segmentet \u2013 er steget til over $40.000 per dag, en stigning p\u00e5 50% siden \u00e5rets begyndelse.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>Usikre tider gavner tankmarkedet \u2013 til en vis gr\u00e6nse<\/b><br \/>Selvom toldsatser og sanktioner under pr\u00e6sident Trump skaber geopolitisk usikkerhed, har de ogs\u00e5 haft en positiv effekt p\u00e5 tankmarkedet. Der blev meddelt en straftold mod Mexico og Canada samt en \u00f8jeblikkelig toldforh\u00f8jelse mod Kina. De indgreb blev dog udskudt i f\u00f8rste omgang, men forventes at forl\u00e6nge sejlruterne og dermed styrke indtjeningen for r\u00e5olietankere \u2013 s\u00e5 l\u00e6nge en decideret handelskrig undg\u00e5s.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>L\u00e6ngere sejlruter og lavere skibsudbud giver markedet et l\u00f8ft<\/b><br \/>Samtidig har USA sk\u00e6rpet sin <i>maximum pressure<\/i>-taktik over for Iran med m\u00e5let om at eliminere iransk r\u00e5olieeksport og dermed begr\u00e6nse landets finansiering af sit atomv\u00e5benprogram. Da Kina importerer op til 1,7 millioner t\u00f8nder iransk r\u00e5olie dagligt, skal disse m\u00e6ngder i stigende grad erstattes fra Mellem\u00f8sten og Atlanterhavet, hvilket forl\u00e6nger sejlafstande og \u00f8ger fragteftersp\u00f8rgslen. Kinas import af iransk r\u00e5olie er allerede faldet med 400.000 t\u00f8nder pr. dag i \u00e5r, mens eksporten fra Brasilien og Vestafrika (Nigeria) til Kina er steget, hvilket afspejler den n\u00e6vnte udvikling.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Fremover forventes b\u00e5de geopolitisk usikkerhed og makro\u00f8konomiske tendenser at medf\u00f8re fortsatte h\u00f8je rater p\u00e5 r\u00e5olietankmarkedet.
