Disse faktorene har l\u00f8ftet inntjeningen i r\u00e5oljetankmarkedet \u2013 spesielt VLCC og suezmax segmentet \u2013 til over $40 000 per dag, en \u00f8kning p\u00e5 50 % siden \u00e5rets begynnelse.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>Usikre tider gagner tankmarkedet \u2013 til en viss niv\u00e5<br \/><\/b><b><\/b>Selv om tollsatser og sanksjoner under president Trump skaper geopolitisk usikkerhet, har de ogs\u00e5 bidratt positivt til tankmarkedet. Opprinnelig ble tollsatser p\u00e5 Mexico og Canada kunngjort, men senere utsatt, sammen med de umiddelbare toll\u00f8kningene p\u00e5 Kina. Dette forventes \u00e5 \u00f8ke seilingsdistanser og dermed styrke inntjeningen for r\u00e5oljetankere \u2013 s\u00e5 lenge en full handelskrig unng\u00e5s.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>Lengre seilingsruter og lavere skipstilgang gir markedsl\u00f8ft<br \/><\/b><b><\/b>I tillegg har USA skjerpet sin &#8220;maximum pressure approach\u201d mot Iran, med m\u00e5l om \u00e5 null ut Iransk r\u00e5oljeeksport for \u00e5 begrense landets finansiering av atomv\u00e5penprogrammet. Ettersom Kina importerer opp mot 1,7 millioner fat per dag med iransk r\u00e5olje, m\u00e5 disse volumene i \u00f8kende grad erstattes fra Midt\u00f8sten og Atlanterhavsbassenget, noe som \u00f8ker seilingsdistanser og fraktbehov. Kinas import av iransk r\u00e5olje har allerede falt med 400 000 fat per dag s\u00e5 langt i \u00e5r, mens eksporten fra Brasil og Vest-Afrika (Nigeria) til Kina har \u00f8kt, noe som tydelig reflekterer dette skiftet.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Fremover peker b\u00e5de geopolitisk usikkerhet og makro\u00f8konomiske trender mot fortsatt sterke rater i r\u00e5oljetankmarkedet.
