Lastede VLGC-transitter gjennom stredet stod \u00e5ret f\u00f8r for 92 % av Midt\u00f8stens NGL-eksport og 34 % av de globale LPG-volumene, hvorav Asia tok imot 97 % av de utg\u00e5ende lastene. Da de etablerte operat\u00f8rene i stor grad ble stengt ute, stoppet disse volumene i praksis opp. Baltic Exchange suspenderte derfor BLPG1-vurderingen for Ras Tanura\u2013Chiba, ettersom det ikke lenger fantes observerbare slutninger \u00e5 prise markedet p\u00e5. Enkelte skip uten tydelig vestlig tilknytning fikk fortsatt selektiv tilgang, men markedet fremsto i praksis som ikke fungerende.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Den strukturelle dreiningen bort fra Midt\u00f8sten-forsyning tiltar<\/strong><br \/>Den kortsiktige markedsretningen vil avhenge av hvor raskt situasjonen l\u00f8ses. En gjen\u00e5pning vil bringe Midt\u00f8sten-volumene tilbake, men ogs\u00e5 slippe ut et opparbeidet etterslep av volumer. En mer langvarig forstyrrelse vil p\u00e5 sin side opprettholde h\u00f8yere tonnmil gjennom \u00f8kt routing ut av US Gulf, men samtidig \u00f8ke risikoen for ettersp\u00f8rselspress i Asia. Det underliggende skiftet i handelsm\u00f8nstrene er allerede tydelig. India hadde f\u00f8r dette planlagt \u00e5 \u00f8ke andelen LPG-import fra USA til 10 % i \u00e5r, opp fra 7 %, en utvikling som n\u00e5 forsterkes ytterligere av de siste forstyrrelsene.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Konflikten i Midt\u00f8sten st\u00f8tter derfor opp om Houston\u2013Chiba-ruten som det sentrale fungerende referansepunktet i markedet, samtidig som tonnasjen i Atlanterhavsbassenget opererer med h\u00f8y kapasitetsutnyttelse i takt med at asiatiske kj\u00f8pere s\u00f8ker alternative laster. Fl\u00e5teveksten er fortsatt betydelig, med rundt 7 % vekst i \u00e5r og en topp i leveringer i 2027 p\u00e5 rundt 16 %, inkludert 98 skip planlagt levert i 2026. Disse leveringene kommer imidlertid inn i et marked hvor en vesentlig del av den globale LPG-handelen midlertidig er tatt ut av det effektive tilbudet i markedet, noe som delvis motvirker effekten av ny tonnasje.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For EMFs eksponering mot VLAC-segmentet er den langsiktige overgangen mot ammoniakk fortsatt intakt.
