Uten en troverdig gjen\u00e5pning av Hormuz vil selv en delvis normalisering av oljeflyten raskt f\u00f8re til \u00f8kt behov for \u00e5 fylle opp lagre globalt, noe som holder et solid gulv under fraktratene.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>LPG\/VLGC: Inntjeningen p\u00e5 ruten Houston\u2013Chiba n\u00e5r sitt h\u00f8yeste niv\u00e5 p\u00e5 to \u00e5r<\/strong><br \/>VLGC-markedet hadde f\u00e5 avtaler denne uken, men det f\u00f8rte ikke til svakere stemning. Ratene p\u00e5 Houston\u2013Chiba-ruten \u00f8kte med rundt 6 % fra forrige uke, ettersom kj\u00f8pere konkurrerte om et begrenset antall tilgjengelige skip. Ventetiden i Panamakanalen har \u00f8kt med rundt 60 % denne m\u00e5neden, og kombinert med lengre seilingsruter rundt Afrika gj\u00f8r dette at den effektive tilgjengeligheten av skip blir enda lavere.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>PCTC: Stram fl\u00e5tetilgjengelighet holder seks-til-tolv m\u00e5neders rateniv\u00e5er stabile<\/strong><br \/>Markedet for bilskip holdt seg stabilt, med rater for kontrakter p\u00e5 seks til tolv m\u00e5neder for moderne skip p\u00e5 over 50 000 USD per dag. Dette st\u00f8ttes av f\u00e5 tilgjengelige skip p\u00e5 kort sikt og fortsatt sterk eksport av biler mellom Asia, Europa og USA. Segmentet er i stor grad skjermet fra stengingen av Hormuz, siden Midt\u00f8sten hovedsakelig importerer biler og ikke eksporterer dem. Ordreboken for nye bilskip er p\u00e5 rundt 18 % av dagens fl\u00e5te, noe som gradvis vil lette presset i markedet. Likevel er det f\u00e5 leveringer p\u00e5 kort sikt, og en tydelig nedgang i ratene virker lite sannsynlig f\u00f8r flere nye skip kommer inn i markedet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Geopolitikk: EU vedtar sin 20. sanksjonspakke mot Russland, Hormuz returnerer til n\u00e6rmest komplett stengning, og UAE forlater OPEC<\/strong><br \/>B\u00e5de USAs marineblokade og Irans blokkering av Hormuzstredet fortsatte denne uken, og amerikanske styrker stoppet eller omdirigerte minst fem tankskip knyttet til Iran. Brent-oljeprisen steg med rundt 10 % fra forrige uke, etter at h\u00e5pet om gjen\u00e5pning forsvant. Samtidig er volumet av olje under transport fortsatt rundt 15 % lavere enn f\u00f8r konflikten. EU vedtok denne uken sin 20. sanksjonspakke mot Russland, som blant annet forbyr kortsiktig import av russisk LNG fra 25. april og legger grunnlaget for et fremtidig forbud mot maritime tjenester knyttet til russisk olje. Dette skaper ytterligere forstyrrelser i Europas energiforsyning. Samtidig har Russland stoppet transport av kasakhisk olje gjennom Druzhba-r\u00f8rledningen, noe som p\u00e5virker rundt 17 % av kapasiteten ved PCK Schwedt-raffineriet som forsyner Berlin. Dette \u00f8ker presset p\u00e5 drivstoffmarkedet i Nord-Europa og vil trolig \u00f8ke behovet for import via skip.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">P\u00e5 onsdag annonserte ogs\u00e5 De forente arabiske emirater at de vil forlate OPEC\/OPEC+ fra 1. mai, med begrunnelse i nasjonale interesser og \u00f8nsket om \u00e5 m\u00f8te ettersp\u00f8rselen i markedet. Dette var ikke uventet, da landet tidligere har uttrykt misn\u00f8ye med produksjonsbegrensninger.
