Begrenset lasteaktivitet bidro til et moderat press p\u00e5 ratene, men utviklingen fremst\u00e5r mer som en normalisering etter sv\u00e6rt h\u00f8ye niv\u00e5er enn en svekkelse i markedet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suezmax-ratene falt til rundt USD 124.000 per dag, mens Aframax-ratene steg til omtrent USD 111.000 per dag. Begge segmentene handles fortsatt p\u00e5 sv\u00e6rt attraktive niv\u00e5er sammenlignet med gjennomsnittet for 2025.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trafikken gjennom Hormuzstredet l\u00e5 p\u00e5 rundt 11 skip per dag etter at Iran p\u00e5 nytt erkl\u00e6rte stredet stengt. Dette er om lag 93 prosent lavere enn niv\u00e5ene f\u00f8r konflikten. Dette bidrar til \u00e5 opprettholde et solid gulv i tankmarkedet og begrenser nedsiden fra dagens niv\u00e5er.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>LPG\/VLGC:<br \/><\/strong>VLGC-markedet fortsatte \u00e5 styrke seg denne uken. Spotratene p\u00e5 referanseruten Houston\u2013Chiba steg til rekordh\u00f8ye 160.000\/d, opp godt over 100% den siste m\u00e5neden.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oppgangen skyldes fortsatt ubalanse mellom tilgjengelige laster og tilgjengelig tonnasje, hvor befraktere konkurrerer om et stadig mindre antall skip. Forstyrrelser i Panama-kanalen har ogs\u00e5 hatt en positivt effekt p\u00e5 VLGC-ratene, hvor n\u00e5 25% av VLGC fl\u00e5ten seiler rundt COGH (S\u00f8r-Afrika) i stedet for \u00e5 ta den betydelige kortere ruten via kanalen. Dette er en utvikling vi har ventet p\u00e5 i flere m\u00e5neder, som vi ogs\u00e5 tror kommer til \u00e5 vedvare i \u00e5rene fremover. N\u00e5r ventetiden \u00f8ker i Panamakanalen, blir den reelle tilgjengelige skipkapasiteten betydelig strammere enn det fl\u00e5testatistikken isolert sett tilsier.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Den vedvarende stengingen av Hormuzstredet har i praksis fjernet eksport fra Persiabukta, noe som gj\u00f8r Asia langt mer avhengig av eksport fra US Gulf. Dette forlenger seilasdistansene betydelig.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>PCTC:<br \/><\/strong>Bilfraktmarkedet styrket seg markant denne uken. Timecharterrater for moderne tonnasje med kontrakter p\u00e5 seks til tolv m\u00e5neder steg rundt 10 prosent til cirka USD 55.000 per dag.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oppgangen drives av begrenset tilgjengelig kapasitet og fortsatt sterk eksport av biler p\u00e5 rutene mellom Asia og Europa samt over Stillehavet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Segmentet fremst\u00e5r fortsatt relativt skjermet fra konflikten rundt Hormuz, ettersom Midt\u00f8sten i hovedsak fungerer som importmarked for biler snarere enn eksportregion. N\u00e5r konflikten l\u00f8sner forventes det et boozt i ettersp\u00f8relsen fra midt\u00f8sen som vil st\u00f8tte PCTC ratene i den f\u00f8lgende perioden.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ordreboken innen PCTC utgj\u00f8r n\u00e5 rundt 19 prosent av eksisterende fl\u00e5tekapasitet, med levering over flere \u00e5r. USA og Iran har forel\u00f8pig ikke gjort fremskritt i retning av konfliktavklaring.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Til tross for at rundt 18 millioner fat olje per dag i utgangspunktet ble p\u00e5virket av konflikten, har oljeprisen holdt seg noe lavere enn mange hadde forventet.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At De forente arabiske emirater n\u00e5 trekker seg ut av OPEC og OPEC+ med virkning fra 1. mai, signaliserer et \u00f8nske om \u00e5 kunne \u00f8ke produksjonen uten kvotebegrensninger n\u00e5r den geopolitiske situasjonen tillater det.
