Imens n\u00e6rmer IMO sig en global CO\u2082-pris, selv om branchens fokus fortsat er rettet mod konflikten i Hormuzstr\u00e6det<\/h4><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>2026 er \u00e5ret, hvor CO<\/strong><strong>\u2082<\/strong><strong>-omkostninger bliver en del af den daglige drift<br \/><\/strong>Rederier med aktiviteter i Europa betaler nu for 100% af deres drivhusgasudledninger. Det er en stigning fra 40% i 2024 og 70% i 2025. Overgangen er forl\u00f8bet gnidningsfrit: Mere end 99% af de opkr\u00e6vede kvoter blev betalt rettidigt i den f\u00f8rste fulde gyldighedsperiode, hvilket viser, at h\u00e5ndh\u00e6velsen fungerer, og systemet er kommet for at blive. Ordningens omfang er desuden blevet udvidet. Siden januar 2026 omfatter EU ETS ikke kun CO\u2082, men ogs\u00e5 metan og lattergas \u2013 to drivhusgasser, der har en langt st\u00f8rre klimaeffekt pr. ton og derfor kan \u00f8ge rederiernes CO\u2082-omkostninger betydeligt.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ser vi uden for Europa, forventes IMO i oktober 2026 at vedtage en global model for CO\u2082-priss\u00e6tning, hvilket vil p\u00e5l\u00e6gge tilsvarende omkostninger for den internationale skibsfart. Budskabet til skibsejerne er derfor klart: CO\u2082 er blevet en reel driftsomkostning, som kun forventes at vokse i de kommende \u00e5r. EMF\u2019s ammoniakklare Green Harmony-skibe er udviklet med netop dette for \u00f8je. Skibene sejler i dag p\u00e5 konventionelt br\u00e6ndstof og kan derfor operere til konkurrencedygtige rater, men de er konstrueret, s\u00e5 de kan skifte til gr\u00f8nnere br\u00e6ndstoffer, n\u00e5r disse bliver tilg\u00e6ngelige i handlen.
