\u201dIt\u2019s very easy to trace and all the car manufacturers want to know the carbon footprint,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>

\u201cThe point is, they want to know and they want us to lower it so then they need to buy fewer carbon credits.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>

Liberty Global Logistics<\/strong>\u00a0executive vice president Josh Shapiro said the spot market for car carriers was less about long-term thinking on issues like decarbonisation and more about capacity control in a market where rates are very high.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cBut all of our customers themselves producing new vehicles are going to be electric. That’s where we’re being encouraged to have a decarbonisation journey,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>

\u201cThe spot market needs are actually about moving products in the supply chain.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>
