European Maritime Finance (EMF) hosts green shipping investment event in Copenhagen with sustainability leader Connie Hedegaard, former European Commissioner for Climate Action

Copenhagen, 25 April 2024 – The meeting was held at Sølyst, the Denmark Royal Hunting Club which was founded in 1443.

European Maritime Finance is committed to fostering collaboration across the marine industry, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability-focused investing.

The seminar brought together a diverse assembly of investors, maritime experts, and analysts. Notable participants included EMF’s Founder and Chairman of the Investment Committee, Martin Haugaard; Chief Executive Officer, Benny Buchardt and Stephen Schueler, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. The event also featured Jon Hovem Leonhardsen from Clarkson’s Green Transition Group.

The keynote speaker was Connie Hedegaard, the former European Commissioner for Climate Action, Danish Minister for the Environment, and former Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities. Connie is currently serving on multiple boards and is also a Member of the Climate and Environment Advisory Council for the European Investment Bank.

EMF has obtained its license as an alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.
