European Maritime Finance (EMF) host 2024 Decarbonizing Shipping Seminar and announced an upcoming vessel will be named Copenhagen Star

Copenhagen, 22 November 2024 – The meeting was held at Sølyst, the Denmark Royal Hunting Club which was founded in 1443.

European Maritime Finance selected Copenhagen, Denmark, for the 2024 Decarbonizing Shipping Seminar due to their efforts leading reduction in carbon and announced an upcoming vessel will be named Copenhagen Star. Copenhagen Star, is a LR2 tanker, 115,000 DWT being built in Korea with Daehan Shipbuilding (DHSC).

Participants included EMF’s Chief Executive Officer, Torben Bager, and Stephen Schueler, Chairman of the Green Transition, Investment Committee.

Martin Haugaard, Founder, Chief Executive Officer (Schweiz) AG and Chairman of the Investment Committee, “European Maritime Finance was excited to host the 2024 Decarbonizing Shipping Seminar in Copenhagen, a global leader in carbon reduction”.

Stephen Schueler, Chairman of Green Transition, Investment Committee, “European Maritime Finance is committed to Denmark and has announced the naming of one of their upcoming vessels being delivered in 2025, Copenhagen Star”.
