Our Blue Harmony and the Green Harmony funds are an example of this.
EMF continuously screens and investigates the shipping industry and market for potential investment cases. The length of the screening process varies and depends on market developments. Common to the screening process is that potential investments are assessed based on clear requirements and assumptions in EMF's investment and due diligence policy set by EMF's professional staff.
EMF conducts an initial due diligence of the potential investment opportunities. The initial due diligence process aims to clarify whether the investment opportunity fulfils EMF's requirements to be an attractive investment.
If the investment opportunity in question is deemed attractive, EMF involves external advisors to conduct due diligence on the legal, technical, insurance and financial aspects of the investment case. The result of the due diligence is presented to EMF's Investment Committee for consideration.
Based on the investment case and the completed due diligence etc. the investment committee decides whether to approve the investment case. the investment committee can choose to either approve or reject the investment case. If the investment case is approved, it is referred to the Board of Directors for final approval.
