Copenhagen, Denmark – August 26th 2024.   Egypt National Day was hosted by the Ambassador of Egypt Mohammed Karim Sherif at the Ambassador Residence in Denmark. The Event celebrated the independence of Egypt and the transition of the Suez Canal to Egypt in 1956. The Suez Canal is 193.3 kilometers long (120.11 mi) and is a key route between Europe and Asia. The canal was completed in 1869, 155 years ago. The canal enables the journey transit reduction by 8,900 kilometers (5,500 miles).
