Klaus Kjærulff has been appointed Chairman of the Board at European Maritime Finance (EMF). The appointment is made in collaboration with the principal shareholder of the company as part of EMF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its overall strategic direction.
“Klaus Kjærulff brings many years of experience in shipping and marine insurance, both through his role as Chairman of one of the industry’s major maritime insurance companies, Norwegian SKULD, and from his past position at the Danish tanker company Torm. His broad industry insight is a significant asset to EMF,” says CEO Torben Degn.
Klaus Kjærulff comments:
“EMF is a well-established platform, not least within green shipping. I very much look forward to further contributing to strengthening the company’s position as an asset manager in the global maritime industry—for the benefit of both our investors and shareholders.”
Klaus Kjærulff assumes the role of Chairman with in-depth knowledge of EMF, having served as a member of both the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee since 2023.
He succeeds Kim Høibye as Chairman.
“We would like to thank Kim Høibye for his dedication and efforts, which have been crucial to EMF’s development,” says Martin Haugaard, founder and Chairman of the Investment Committee.
