
Copenhagen, March 21, 2025 – European Maritime Finance A/S (EMF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Regnar Lykou as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Lykou joins EMF after a successful tenure as CFO at Nykredit Portfolio Administration, part of the Nykredit Financial Group.
“After 10 fulfilling years at Nykredit Portfolio Administration, I feel it’s time to explore new horizons. I am excited to take on the challenge of CFO at European Maritime Finance,” said Regnar Lykou.

EMF is an FSA-licensed specialized fund manager focused solely on shipping funds, with a large fleet of newbuilding’s scheduled for delivery over the next 12 to 24 months. The current fleet value under management exceeds USD 2.1 billion.
Regnar Lykou is a state-authorized accountant and brings over 20 years of expertise in internal and external financial reporting within the financial sector. His past roles include positions at Now: Pensions Investments A/S Securities Brokerage Company and Danske Bank.
He also offers valuable international management experience, having worked in both Luxembourg and England.
Lykou succeeds Alan Bech-Andersen, who will continue in his role as Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee.
