European Maritime Finance (EMF) leads Zero Carbon Shipping Conference in Aarhus, Denmark

Aarhus, 25 October 2024 – The meeting was held at the historic Varna Palace built in 1908. 

European Maritime Finance leads Zero Carbon Shipping Conference in Aarhus, Denmark.

Aarhus is Denmark’s largest commercial port and will be the most sustainable in the Baltic Region aiming to be carbon neutral in scope 1 and 2 by 2030. 

The funds include three 88,000 CBM Class LPG Dual Fuel LPG/Ammonia Carriers. The funds are designed to promote sustainability and combat climate change, operate on CO2-free fuel and supply green ammonia to other industries. This approach sets a new standard for the maritime industry aligning with sustainability goals.

Participants included EMF’s Chief Executive Officer, Torben Bager, and Stephen Schueler, Chairman of the Green Transition, Investment Committee. The event also featured Jørn Bakkelund from Clarkson’s, the world’s largest shipbroker. Jørn is globally recognized for his shipping insights and is regularly quoted as an expert in his field.
