  • The Galveston area forms part of the wider Houston Ship Channel energy corridor, the largest petrochemical and refining hub in the United States


Stavanger Star

  • Currently located in the Eastern Mediterranean
  • Was enroute from Augusta, Sicily, Italy, to Aliaga, Turkey ETA 24 February
  • Aliaga is not only an oil terminal but also one of the world’s largest ship recycling centers, making it a frequent final destination for aging tonnage


Oslo Star 
     

  • Currently located in In the Red Sea, south of Suez
  • Enroute from Mina Al Ahmadi, Kuwait to Suez, Egypt, ETA 3 March
  • The Suez region sits at the southern gateway to the Suez Canal, a chokepoint that handles roughly 10 to 12 percent of global seaborne trade


Copenhagen Star

  • Currently located in in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Enroute from Corpus Christi, TX, USA to Port of Sint Eustatius, ETA 4 March
  • Despite being on a tiny island of just about 3,000 residents, the Port of Sint Eustatius, often called “Statia,” is one of the largest oil storage and transshipment hubs in the Caribbean


Athenian Star   
   

  • Currently located in the Pacific Ocean
  • Enroute from the Port of Los Angeles, USA, to Vancouver, Canada, ETA 27 February
  • The Port of Los Angeles, together with Long Beach, forms the busiest port complex in the Western Hemisphere and is a major entry point for Pacific energy flows


Geneva Star   
           

  • Currently located in the mid Indian Ocean
  • Enroute from Marsa Al Hariga, Libya, to Singapore, ETA 2 March
  • Zhoushan is part of the Ningbo-Zhoushan port complex, which has ranked among the world’s busiest ports by cargo tonnage for several consecutive years


Lausanne Star   
        

  • Currently located in the Caribbean Sea
  • Enroute from Galveston, TX, USA, to Jose Terminal, Venezuela, ETA 25 February
  • Jose is Venezuela’s main heavy crude export hub and the key blending center for Orinoco Belt extra heavy oil before export
