Kolding, Denmark, 7 October 2024 – The meeting was held at the historic Sdr Bjert Kro.
The Clean Shipping Conference was focused on the maritime industry lead by European Maritime Finance. Kolding was selected for the conference location due to their launch of Kolding 2030 sustainability efforts. The city is committed to be net zero carbon footprint.
European Maritime Finance is committed to lead the maritime industry’s transition to net zero carbon. Recently, EMF’s Green Harmony funds are amongst the first maritime investment funds to achieve Article 9 compliance under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Participants included EMF’s Chief Executive Officer, Torben Bager and Chairman of the Green Transition, Investment Committee and Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Schueler. The event also featured Jørn Bakkelund from Clarkson’s, the world’s largest ship broker. Jørn is globally recognized for his shipping insights and regularly quoted as an expert in his field.
