Strategic Milestones Reinforce EMF’s Strong Position in the PCTC Segment

European Maritime Finance, in partnership with Atlas Maritime, successfully completed the sale and delivery of Electric Star in July. This was EMF’s second PCTC sale this year, following the sale of Green Star earlier this summer. Both next-generation, dual-fuel LNG PCTCs with 7,000-car capacity were sold at strong market levels, highlighting EMF’s ability to capitalise on long-term trends through well-timed, strategic investments.

The keel laying of EMF’s third PCTC was completed in July, marking an important construction milestone.  It marks the transition from planning and steel cutting to the physical assembly of the vessel’s main structure. Traditionally viewed as a milestone in shipbuilding, the keel laying often includes a brief ceremony to acknowledge that the ship is now truly taking shape.
