EMF had the great pleasure of meeting representatives from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Clarksons at our headquarters at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss our ongoing collaboration and the progress of EMF’s three 88,000 CBM dual-fuel LPG/VLAC newbuildings currently under construction at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan, South Korea.
The vessels are designed for the transportation of LPG and ammonia and represent an important addition to EMF’s growing fleet. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the construction programme and discuss the vessels’ progress towards delivery.
The visit also underlined the strong collaboration between EMF, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Clarksons throughout the newbuilding programme. We greatly value these relationships and look forward to continuing our close cooperation as the three vessels progress through the remaining stages of construction.
Following the Copenhagen meeting, the first vessel in the series, EMF Viking I (HN3516), reached an important construction milestone when she was successfully launched at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan on 23 September 2026, in accordance with the planned construction schedule.
EMF Viking I is expected to be delivered at the beginning of January 2027, with the remaining two vessels scheduled to follow during 2027.
