A busy and successful June at EMF-EMF-Maritimefinance

Vessel deliveries, PCTC sales, and a celebration at Nor-Shipping Week

This month has been an eventful month for European Maritime Finance. We can proudly announce that we have had delivery of two vessels; our 2nd PCTC, Green Star, and our 9th and last Aframax/LR2 tanker, Athenian Star. Furthermore, we held a reception at Nor-Shipping, celebrating the sale of the two PCTC vessels with our investors.

Sale of Green Star and delivery of Athenian Star
European Maritime Finance would like to announce the successful sale and delivery of our second PCTC (Pure Car Truck Carrier), Green Star. Green Star is a dual-fuel LNG PCTC capable of carrying 7,000 cars. The Green Star represents an advancement in maritime transport, designed to utilize Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) as a cleaner fuel alternative compared to heavy fuel oil. This sale marks another successful project for EMF and reflects the continued growth and resilience of the automotive transport sector.

We are also thrilled to announce that the construction phase of Athenian Star, EMF’s 9th tanker vessel, has been completed. Athenian Star was built at Daehan Shipbuilding in South Korea, a renowned leader in shipbuilding and innovation. This vessel represents the latest in our long-standing collaboration with the yard, underscoring our confidence in their exceptional craftsmanship and timely delivery. Athenian Star has now been delivered and chartered to an oil major for an initial 12-month period, with an option to extend for an additional 8 months, further enhancing our market presence

Successful Oslo event during Nor-Shipping Week
European Maritime Finance marked another major milestone this month, celebrating the sale of its first two PCTC vessels with a reception at its Oslo office. Held during Nor-Shipping Week – a key global maritime event – the gathering brought together investors, partners, and industry leaders from across the sector.

Attendees included representatives from Clarksons, Hyundai, and several embassies, as well as EMF’s leadership. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on recent achievements and discuss future investment opportunities within the shipping sector. We extend our sincere thanks to all who joined and helped make the event a success.
